This tool is for Harm Reduction and Educational Purposes Only.
NEVER take products containing active ingredients other than Dextromethorphan

Chlorpheniramine, or Phenylephrine can cause liver failure,
seizures, or death in recreational doses.
Understanding DXM Plateaus
Dextromethorphan (DXM) is a dissociative drug that exhibits different effects at different dosage ranges, commonly referred to as "plateaus". This calculator estimates these ranges based on your body weight.
The Four Plateaus
- 1st Plateau (1.5 - 2.5 mg/kg): Mild stimulation, music enhancement, slight mood lift. Often described as similar to a low dose of MDMA or alcohol.
- 2nd Plateau (2.5 - 7.5 mg/kg): Heavier intoxication, stumbling (robowalk), closed-eye visuals (CEVs), dissociation sensation. The most common recreational level.
- 3rd Plateau (7.5 - 15 mg/kg): Strong dissociation, profound alterations in visual and auditory perception, confusion, loss of motor control. Experienced users only.
- 4th Plateau (15 - 20 mg/kg): Full dissociation, out-of-body experiences, complete loss of contact with reality. Extremely intense and potentially dangerous psychological effects.
Sigma Plateau
Warning: Repeated redosing can lead to "Plateau Sigma," which is characterized by prolonged psychosis and delirium. Never redose DXM.
Safety Checklist
- Check Ingredients: Only use products containing Dextromethorphan HBr or Dextromethorphan Polistirex as the ONLY active ingredient.
- No MAOIs: Do not take DXM if you are on antidepressants (MAOIs, SSRIs) as this can cause Serotonin Syndrome, which is fatal.
- Set and Setting: Ensure you are in a safe environment, ideally with a sober tripsitter.
