Why Chocolate is Dangerous for Dogs

Chocolate is a favorite treat for humans, but it can be deadly for our canine companions. The danger comes from a chemical compound called Theobromine. While humans metabolize theobromine easily, dogs process it much more slowly, allowing it to build up to toxic levels in their system.
