What is Absolute Value?

The Rules:

If the number is positive, the absolute value is the number itself. (|5| = 5)

Why do we need this?

1. Distance and Navigation:
If you drive 10 miles North or 10 miles South, your gas tank doesn't care about the direction. It only cares about the 10 miles traveled. Absolute value calculates fuel consumption based on distance, not displacement.
